A Great Start To 2016
Day seven was easily one of our most active and exciting days.
We woke up to a beautiful sunny sky and had plenty of outdoor activities ahead.
Our first stop was at David Ben Gurion's burial site located in the middle of the Negev Desert.
The view was absolutely beautiful and it was so incredible to learn about such an inspiring man. We were able to truly grasp the love he had for not only the desert, but for this country as well.
Next, we got back on the bus and took a short drive to Ein Ovdat- an indescribable hike in the middle of the Negev. After that, we grabbed a quick lunch and then visited Mitzpe Ramon. Here, we took a short walk to an overlook of a crater. Again, the views were unbelievable. It was as if each stop just kept outdoing the last. To finish off an amazing day, we got to experience what life was like as the Bedouin's, complete with sleeping in tents and getting to ride camels. It was a truly special way to welcome in 2016.
Even though I'm thousands of miles away from my house, I have never felt more at home. It's hard to believe we only have three days left in this amazing country but I can't wait to learn as much as I can with the time I have left!
