Israel Day 1
What did you do today?
Upon our arrival in Israel, after a very full travel day, we met the Israeli participants who would be spending time with us during the entire duration of the trip. We also met our tour guide and other staff members, who will all be a part of our group on this adventure. We then loaded our bags onto the bus while we ate sandwiches, chips, and drank water for lunch. It was a delicious welcome to Israel. We then drove to Ein Gedi, where we hiked and saw the waterfalls of Nachal David. We then hopped on the bus and drove two hours to our destination which turned out to be Kibbutz Yahel, where we had dinner and got ready for our first night. We ended the evening with a group meeting that included ice breaker activities, helping everyone get to know each other more in depth. It was a very fun introduction.
What was your favorite part of the day and why?
Hiking and seeing the beautiful scenery.
What's something new that you learned or something that you tried for the first time?
That the Dead Sea had the lowest altitude in the respective continents. That was very interesting!

The chicken and green beans at the Kibbutz for dinner was delicious! Yum!
