I Rode Through the Desert on a Camel Named Ran
We woke up to a Bedouin style breakfast and made our way the much anticipated camel ride. We rode such famous camels as Fredrick, Ishi Madonna and the very excited Wednesday. Next we decided to take a break from the desert air and visited the Ilan Ramon crater. Ilan Ramon was the first Israeli astronaut that tragically perished in the American mission Columbia. We learned about the formation of Earth, the animals native to the Negev and the life of Ilan.
We then drove to an agricultural center where we enjoyed the salad trail. We got to try vegetables and fruit native to Israel and the juices from them. We made our own bread with homemade spices and had authentic Israeli ice cream before heading to our bus. We decided to call it an early night with a picture activity and a delicious dinner before our hike up Masada tomorrow.
