Tzfat & The Chocolate Factory
Our first full day in the north was filled with fun activities. We began the day praying while overlooking the Kinneret, the first sight of the beautiful vista in daylight.
After breakfast, we boarded the bus and headed to our first stop at Tzfat. Ori shared the fascinating history of the four holy cities. We toured a synagogue, visited a art gallery and had time to shop at some boutique shops in the narrow alley ways. We ended our tour with falafel from a local hotspot.
We continued on to Mt. Bental and learned about the military history of Israel and conquering the Golan Heights. From the top of the mountain we could see the Hula Valley in Israel, Syria and Lebanon. We also got to meet the UN Envoy that was stations there.
After, we continued on to one of the most anticipated stops of the trip, the chocolate factory. We got to learn about how desserts are made and got to tour the factory and had a taste testing session where we got to sample the treats.
After a long day we headed back to the hotel, had dinner and an evening program and then prepared for our next day's adventures.
