Kibbutzim & Great Cuisine
Well, today we woke up from a somewhat ideal night of sleep. Shabbat allowed us to really sleep in because the day was all about rest and relaxation. Half of us chose to spend this period of chillful vibes by shooting some basketball outside of the kibbutz.
By lunchtime, we had all encountered our fair share of furry friends. The kibbutz had many dogs. The following hours included plenty of more free time, encouraging us to further develop the relationships between our new friends. Although breakfast was pretty light, we had plenty of food at lunch to stuff our stomachs. And, like any other meal during this trip, it was yet another chance to explore the scene on Israeli cuisine. Mmm!
Now I’m going to talk about dinner. Alrighty… before we arrived to the place we were going to eat, we went through Jerusalem to get there. It ended up, we were going to the mall! So of course, we had to do a little shopping around in addition to finding a place to eat. Our pal Skyy got a custom Denver Broncos T-Shirt at a store called Hoodies. Pretty cool name for a store, huh? Anyway, before we even did any shopping, of course we had to eat. So the first place that Sam, Skyy, Bryan and us thought thought to visit was none other than McDonald’s. Bryan and Sam got the giigantic and tasty Big America burgers. To play it safe, though, the rest of us got Big Macs, fries, and a couple McFlurries. A few minutes later, we bought some candy from a shop called Super Sweets.
Our night was then concluded with a somewhat emotional activity where we discussed our struggle to understand the atrocities that involved the Holocaust in preparation for our visit to Yad Vashem. All in all, today was a good day.
