Tel Aviv!
Our Monday started with the final breakfast in the north of Israel. After breakfast, we left Kibbutz Moran to head south out of the Galilee. Our first stop was Chamat Gader, near the Jordan border and Kinneret. These hot springs have been a popular tourist destination for thousands of years. We had a great morning relaxing in the springs and enjoying the warm water and cleansing minerals.
Afterwards, we headed to Tel Aviv, one of the biggest and most fun cities of Israel! We arrived at Shuk HaCarmel, and had a couple hours to enjoy the street food and cheap shopping, with lots of Jewish items, fruits and spices, and tourist items. We continued our tour of Tel Aviv at Independence Hall, where we learned about the history of Tel Aviv and the creation of the modern state of Israel. Hearing the Hatikvah, Israel's national anthem, in the same room where David Ben Gurion announced the formation of the Jewish homeland, was very spiritual.
After a delicious dinner in our new hotel, we enjoyed an amazing concert with some Hebrew songs before celebrating a night out together in Jaffa, where we became closer as a group. Can't wait for Jerusalem tomorrow!
