Zany in the Zavi
Today, we woke up early to go on a morning hike in the Zavitan. After a quick breakfast, and packing plenty of water, we began this incredible hike.
The hike had some amazing views, but was also very rocky. Even though we had to be careful, there was no way we could miss the beautiful wildflowers, impressive cliffs, and adorable turtle that we saw on our hike!
Halfway through the hike, there was a refreshing pool in the cliff side, and we were able to wash off and cool down a bit.
After that, we went rafting down the Jordan River. In groups of 3-6, we tried to race each other down the stream. We also got completely soaked, but it was so fun to laugh and play in the water with our new friends.
When we finally got back to the Kibbutz, we celebrated Shabbat and were able to rest, relax, and get to know each other through a game called "Where the Wind Blows".
Things we learned today: Yonatan's artistic explanations of how long the hike is are really just conservative estimates, "Where the wind blows" is a fun and exciting game, and don't bring anything in a raft that you aren't afraid to get wet! :)
