Old City, Jerusalem

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I'm currently in the planning, production and proof of concept phase of starting my own business, using some of the skills passed down to me from my Grandmother who was a Holocaust Survivor.

What are your words of wisdom for your future participants?

Be present! No better way to take in Israel than staying engaged with the group!

What is your favorite place in Israel?

It's hard to pick just one, I love the Tel Aviv beaches but Jerusalem has a special place in my heart too.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I lived in Israel after college and it was one of the best times of my life! My love for Israel led me to pursue a career in the Jewish nonprofit world where I get to share my passions with others all the time, and this trip will be no exception! Also, in 28 years of life I have still never learned how to ride a bike.

What are your words of wisdom for your future participants?

Use the trip as a chance to get out of your comfort zone! Embrace what Israel has to offer, try new things, and be open to learning from those on your bus, especially the Israelis. Don't be afraid to ask questions, even if they're things you think you should already know--you never know what someone else might be holding back from asking. And take every bus nap you can get!

Anything else you want to share?

Going on a DC trip means you automatically have a new group of friends who you can still see when you come back, so the experience doesn't end with your ten days in Israel! Having the chance to build those relationships makes the trip all the more meaningful, and your staff can also be great resources and friends for you when you come back. Can't wait to meet you all and experience Israel together!
