This day will be very hard to beat, but Bus 358 is excited to see what Shorashim holds in store for us tomorrow!
Today was a very special and relaxing day filled with Judaism and exploration, but we wouldn't be doing our trip justice if we didn't describe our first full day of Birthright to you.
Today, we got to explore and discuss the beauty and complicated political climate of the Golan in the north of Israel. We left the kibbutz in search of natural beauty which we found during our morning hike, Zavitan. We jumped over streams, scaled mountains and became breathless at a water overlook. We then drove and discovered more Israeli food during an independant lunch.
I have been nothing but excited and grateful to be apart of Birthright, this experience so far has great, I have made new friends and have taken tons of pictures on the hike of the amazing rock formations and the beautiful waterfall.
After dinner we played a game, wherein some of us earned lasting nicknames: Ju-Ju Beans Jacob, Sam Salmon and Jordan Jalapeno to name a few!
